The ‘Sky Studio’
I shoot digitally in my studio, dubbed the ‘Sky Studio’ for its dazzling natural light and views to each end of the island of Manhattan along the East River.  The city and soaring sky offer inspiration and wonderful possibilities as backgrounds for my images. I create uniquely contemporary and powerfully engaging headshots that have made my work highly recommended by agents and clients alike.  These headshots have a great range of moods to highlight your different facets as a performer—giving you powerful tools to get the roles you want in TV, film, theater and more.  In addition, I shoot unique artistic images you can use for all kinds of self-promotion.  I specialize in creating the highest-quality headshots with both natural and studio light, and location shoots are an option as well.  Together, we’ll plan a shoot tailored to you and your goals in a free consultation.

When you book we send you a detailed PDF document that guides you in preparing for your shoot so you can be sure you are ready for your best session.  If you have further questions, we are here for you and will gladly provide further info.

Hair & Make-Up
I work with wonderful stylists whose rates range from $150 for initial styling at the beginning of the shoot to $200 for styling throughout the shoot.

Your Tailored Digital Shoot
My photo sessions are dynamic and tailored to you.  You help shape the shoot, through on-going image editing during your session, so you truly get the images you want and need.  All the images I shoot are the highest quality color images and usable in black and white.  We shoot several hundred images, and your images are posted on-line within 1-2 days of your shoot for you to access and review with agents and friends.

Mood & Range
Your session is a creative experience.  As with all my clients, we explore and I show your many facets—your range as a performer. The “feel” and look of your images is up to us to decide.  During your shoot we can capture a wide range to highlight different emotional tones in the images.  We can reveal the dark side, the darkly comic, the sparkling wit, the hip, the offbeat, intense, mellow, earthiness, edginess, the classic, the contemporary, and anything in between.  We can create your ideal images for all your of your target roles. We also have room to play and find surprises that take us beyond what you’re initially looking for.

The play is the thing . . .
I make sure my shoots are comfortable and fun.  I have plenty of refreshments and a great music library from Al Green and Billie Holiday to Radiohead and Beck and the Stones to Beethoven and everything inbetween. And I welcome you to bring your favorite tunes on iPod if you like.  You can really feel good in our studio space and in front of my camera and share your spirit and the power of your nature.

I also specialize in portrait and fine art photography, so I give you headshots and then go beyond that to give you something more.  Because I shoot hundreds of images during your session, we have room to explore the possibilities and have fun.  I’ve found that it’s best to shape your career with a sense of fun and play—so I make the process as inspiring and positive for you as possible.  Shaping your image is a crucial aspect of your career and the ability to have fun with that is an invaluable asset.  I love to play and improvise as I shoot.  I find the special moments that arise during the shoot and shoot many artistic images alongside more traditional images as those opportunities arise.  These shots can be used to shape your image and market yourself in creative ways for promotions of all kinds, CD covers, website images, and you can simply just enjoy them for yourself as a portrait.
